Passports Free Ticket Program

Impact Stories

At Theater J we believe access to art is a right, not a privilege. Our Passports Free Ticket Program is designed to provide meaningful access to art to critically underserved communities. Every season, Theater J provides over 400 free tickets to clients of homeless and women’s shelters, low-income senior citizens, and students throughout the DC metro area. Through this commitment to opening our doors for everyone in our community, we aim to support our partner organizations as they provide care for the whole individual.

Some of our current Passports partners include:

  • Adas Behrend Seniors Luncheon Program
  • Casa Ruby
  • Covenant House Teen Homeless Services
  • Duke Ellington School for the Arts/UMD
  • Fenwick Foundation
  • Food and Friends
  • Kennedy Krieger Institute
  • Michigan Park Christian Church
  • Miriam’s Kitchen
  • N Street Village
  • Street Sense
  • Trinidad Baptist Church
  • Whitman Walker Health PALS Program
  • Young Ladies of Tomorrow
