On My Mind/In My Heart: the Voices of Women in Public Housing invites you into the lives of 6 women and their real thoughts and experiences about living in public housing in DC. Developed by playwright Caleen Sinnette Jennings (Queens Girl in the World) using the true stories of the performers, the piece includes themes of housing justice, disability, loss, and what it means to be a leader in your community. The piece is accompanied by a musical soundtrack spun by DC’s own DJ RBI and followed by a talk-back and discussion with the audience.

Tickets are $10 and support EmpowerDC and their efforts to increase affordable housing in DC.
