Theater J’s 2018-2019 season is taking place at four venues around DC:

The Kennedy Center Family Theater for The Pianist of Willesden Lane (September 12 — 30, 2018)
Arena Stage for Actually (October 17 — November 18, 2018)
GALA Hispanic Theatre for Talley’s Folly (December 7 — 30, 2018)
Georgetown University’s David Performing Arts Center for The Jewish Queen Lear (March 13 — April 7, 2019)

Getting Around Town

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, 2700 F St., NW

Parking: Garage under the Kennedy Center building at 2700 F St., NW costs $23*.

Metro: Foggy Bottom/GWU/Kennedy Center station (on the Orange, Blue, and Silver lines, at 23rd and I Streets, NW) is a short walk via New Hampshire Avenue or use the free Kennedy Center Shuttle, departing every 15 minutes from 9:45 AM –11:30 PM Monday-Thursday, 10:00 AM — midnight Fridays and Saturdays, noon – 11:00 PM Sundays.  The #80 bus goes to the Kennedy Center.

Taxi/Ride Services: Arriving by taxi is convenient and a taxi dispatcher is available to assist with departures until 30 minutes after the end of the last performance.  Also, taxis queue in the Plaza each evening.

Arena Stage, 1101 Sixth Street, SW

Parking
: On-site parking garage is accessible from the northbound lane of Maine Ave. Purchase parking in advance (strongly recommended) for $19* by calling the Sales Office at 202.488.3300. Any parking available on the day of the performance will be sold at the garage on a first-come, first-served basis for $22*. Reserve at arenastage.org.

Valet service is available, based upon availability, for $25* without advance booking. Drive to the main entrance to Arena Stage on Sixth Street starting one hour before show time and a valet will assist you.

Off-site parking near Arena Stage:  Fourth Street Garage at 1101 Fourth Street SW (across from the Safeway) offers discounted performance parking for $14.*

Metro: Waterfront station, on the Green line, is at 4th and M Streets.

Taxi/Ride Services: Arena Stage will help with taxi and Lyft reservations for departing patrons. Stop at Visitors Services when you arrive.

GALA Hispanic Theatre, 3333 14th St NW

Parking
: Nearest is Tivoli Square Colonial Parking lot at 1345 Park Rd, NW, behind the Giant Foods, on the same block as the theater.  Event parking is $4,* with validation in theater lobby.

Metro: Columbia Heights Station (Green and Yellow lines) is two blocks south of GALA.

Taxi/Ride Services: GALA Hispanic Theatre’s address is 3333 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20010.

Georgetown University Davis Performing Arts Center/Gonda Theatre  37th St and O St NW

Parking
: There is a cash-only visitors parking garage. Use 3611 Canal Road NW as the address when mapping directions. Parking is free on weekends. On weekdays, parking is $8 after 7:00 PM.*

Metro:  Georgetown University is accessible by Metro Bus from Dupont Circle by the G2 bus.  Check route at wmata.com.

Taxi/Ride Services: We strongly recommend using a taxi or ride service and being dropped off at the Front Gates at 37th Street and O Street NW.  From there, it is a short walk (approximately one block) to the Davis Performing Arts Center/Gonda Theatre.

By Public Transit
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) offers regular service on both Metro and Bus within walking distance of the Edlavitch DCJCC.

Take the Metro Red Line to Dupont Circle. Exit at Q Street (North entrance). Walk east on Q Street, crossing over Connecticut Avenue. The Center is located four blocks away on Q Street at the southeast corner of 16th Street and Q Street.

The Edlavitch DCJCC is also accessible via the S1, S2, or S4 Metrobus.

The Edlavitch DCJCC is accessible by the city’s public bicycle routes. Bike racks are available for securing your bike. A Capital BikeShare station is located two blocks away on 17th NW & Corcoran St. NW. To plan your bicycle route, visit www.ridethecity.com.
